Harrisburg man charged with drug possession; intent to deliver

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. – Two Harrisburg men face charges that began with a routine traffic stop in Lemoyne Borough. It happened at about 2:50 pm Monday afternoon.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Shyheme Larnz Jefferson of the 1200 Block of N. Front Street, Harrisburg. Jefferson was subsequently arrested for suspected driving under the influence of a controlled substance.  He was also found in possession of a moderate amount of suspected crack cocaine and marijuana packaged for sale.

While police were conducting their investigation, a passenger in the vehicle continually gave  a false name and was subsequently arrested also.  He was identified as Davon Khari Miller, 23, of Harrisburg.  Miller was transported to Cumberland County Prison and processed on his charge of False Identification to Law Enforcement.

Jefferson was taken to Carlisle Regional Medical Center where he refused a legal blood draw.  He was then transported to Cumberland County Prison, where he is awaiting arraignment on charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine/Marijuana, Possession of Controlled Substance and DUI.
