Woman, 81, caught stealing from Hollywood Casino after evidence was found on her clothesline
EAST HANOVER TOWNSHIP, Pa.–An 81-year-old woman is accused of stealing from a Dauphin County casino after Pennsylvania State Police found evidence hanging on a clothesline in her backyard.
The theft was reported last Sunday at Holly wood Casino in East Hanover Township after a 69-year-old woman left her white Columbia jacket unattended at a slot machine, according to Pennsylvania State Police reports. Investigators say the unidentified 81-year-old woman stole the jacket and left the casino through the parking garage.
When Troopers found the suspect’s home– they spotted the stolen jacket hanging on a clothesline in the backyard.
The victim declined to file charges citing the suspect’s age and the fact that the jacket was returned to her, police said.
