YORK CITY, Pa. – An early afternoon fire damage a vacant York City rowhouse was arson. That is according to York City Fire Chief David Michaels. The fire broke out at about 1:15 pm in the 700 block of South Court Avenue.
Chief Michaels say fire was deliberately set in multiple locations on the second floor of 741 S. Court. Damage is estimated at about $5,000.
The structure along with an adjacent building are vacant and both are scheduled for demolition.
York City Police are investigating.
