HARRISBURG, Pa. – Hundreds of our nation’s heroes are honored in Harrisburg. The community gathered to commemorate the 378 Pennsylvania Medal of Honor recipients during a ceremony at the Soldiers and Sailors Grove behind the state capitol on Saturday.
An honor guard and a color guard were brought in to help memorialize the men and women who served our country.
For each recipient, a flag has been placed at the capital in their honor.
The ceremony was held in relation to the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.
