HANOVER, PA– The first egg is hatching for the bald eagles of the Hanover bald eagle cam.
The first egg was laid on February 18th, and a second egg came on February 21st.
It typically takes 35 days for a Bald Eagle egg to hatch, but first egg has been a little later than expected. The second egg will likely hatch as well in just a few days.
It will then take another 10-12 weeks for the babies to fly and leave the nest.
A live view of the nest can be seen here.
