PEQUEA TOWNSHIP, Pa. –  A Lancaster County family is without a home, after a fire damaged their Pequea Township house. Flames broke out around 5:00 p.m. Saturday, at the one-story home along the 200-block of Brenneman Road in Pequea Township.

A chimney and the right side of the home sustained most of the damage. Fire officials say strong winds made it difficult to fight the flames.

A neighbor tells FOX43 that a mother and son were living in the home at the time. No one was hurt.

There’s no word on an official cause, but crews believe a wood burning stove in the home may have been a factor.
