LEBANON, Pa. – Police interrupt a home invasion robbery in progress in Lebanon City Wednesday afternoon. Officers responded at about 3:04 p.m. to a home on the 400 block of N. 4th Street.

They found two suspects still at the home. One, later identified as 20 year old Zachary Schaeffer, of Richland was captured after a short foot chase.  Schaeffer was found to be possession of a loaded handgun.  Police say cash and personal property was taken from the victims. There were no injuries.

The second suspect managed to elude police but was later identified as 20 year old Luis Hernandez, no known address. He is believed to have connections to Lebanon and Reading areas.

Both men are charged with 4 counts of Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Simple Assault, and Firearms Not to be Carried Without a License.

Following arraignment, Schaeffer was sent to Lebanon County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.

A warrant has been issued for Hernandez’s arrest. He is described as a Hispanic male, 6 feet tall, about 135 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
