Police say Daniel Frey, 42, stabbed his father, Carl, 76, in the face, neck, and body causing serious injury.  Carl was taken to Lancaster General Hospital where he went into emergency surgery. He is listed in guarded condition.

Frey stabbed his step mother, Patricia Lee, 59,  in the hand. She was taken to Lancaster General where she was treated and released.

A neighbor told FOX43  on scene, that  the couple’s son had come to their home to pick up some clothes.  He said that he heard yells for help and stepped outside to see the son chasing his father with a knife. The neighbors called police. When police arrived on the scene, the son dropped the knife and laid on the ground.

Frey is now being charged with attempted homicide, assault, and domestic violence. He is currently being held at Lancaster County Prison.

Frey is the same man that was charged last month for slashing 21 cars in Lancaster.
