Woman charged after stabbing a man in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Pa. – Police in Lancaster city are charging a woman with assault after they say she stabbed a man in the chest during an argument in Lancaster City.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon  inside a home along the 300 block of Beaver Street.

City detectives say 27 year-old Rebecca Santiago of Lancaster, her fiancé and the  stabbing victim got into a verbal argument.

Authorities report that it was at that time that Santiago stabbed the 25 year-old victim.

He was taken to Lancaster General Hospital where he listed in stable condition and is expected to recover.

Police say he was temporarily staying with Santiago and her fiancé in their home.
