Armed robber shoots cashier at Hanover Rutter’s

HANOVER, Pa. —  Shortly after 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16th, a male suspect entered the Rutter’s Store located at 661 Broadway, Hanover Borough, York County, and demanded money from the cashier while displaying and pointing a handgun at the cashier.  During the robbery the cashier, a 54 year old Hanover woman was shot in the leg.  After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect exited through the front doors and was last seen running towards Broadway.

The unknown suspect is described as being approximately 6’1” with a thin build.  The suspect was wearing black clothing, black ski mask, and white sneakers.  He should be considered armed and dangerous.
