York, Pa. - Kids at a school in York will soon have a new place to make friends. York City Mayor Kim Bracey announcing the installation of a "Buddy Bench" at the McKinley School. The bench was donated in memory of James Mosley. He was a friend of Michael Doweary, the man who donated the bench.

Christian Bucks, a student at Roundtown Elementary School in the Central York School District, came up with the idea of the "Buddy Bench" to get rid of loneliness and create friendships on the playground. He says he hopes the idea spreads all over the world.

"My only dream is that kids all over the world are showing more kindness and compassion to each other because of the Buddy Bench and that they'll continue to do that as they get older," said Christian Bucks, creator of the "Buddy Bench."

The sign on the bench in memory of Mosley reads, "A true friend to everyone he met."
