Apple Subaru donates over $4,000 to York Food Bank

Apple Subaru’s General Manager, Rob Dell, presented the check to The York County Food Bank’s Interim Executive Director, Amy Chamberlin, on April 13th.

YORK, Pa.–  As part of its ongoing support of local communities, Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) and Apple Subaru presented a check for $4,693 to The York County Food Bank as part of the Subaru SHARE THE LOVE event. Apple Subaru’s General Manager, Rob Dell, presented the check to The York County Food Bank’s Interim Executive Director, Amy Chamberlin, on April 13th.

Customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru between November 19, 2015 and January 2, 2016, were invited to select from one of five charities to receive a $250 donation from SOA.

SOA selected four national charities: ASPCA®, Make-A-Wish®, Meals On Wheels America® and National Park Foundation. Subaru retailers could also elect to add a local charity to help support their community. Apple Subaru selected the York County Food Bank.

Over the last seven years, SOA has donated $50 million to a number of worthy causes through the Share the Love event. Subaru of America hopes to donate up to $15 million to participating charities this year.
