The bus had stopped for a line of traffic in front of it when it was struck from behind by the Jeep.

No injuries were reported either on the bus or in the Jeep.  Lititz Fire responded to control and clean-up fluids that leaked onto the roadway from the Jeep following the crash.  The Jeep was disabled in the collision and was towed from the scene. The school bus was able to drive away and continue dropping off students.

The juvenile was cited for following too closely and for a violation of his junior driver’s license, by having more than one passenger under the age of 18. A total of three passengers were in the Jeep, all of whom were under 18.
