Alleged ladies restroom peeper arrested on child pornography charge

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – A Quarryville man already charged with Invasion of Privacy a third degree misdemeanor, after allegedly taking pictures of a 10 year girl in a convenience restroom, now faces a felony charge.

James Thomas Shoemaker, 19 was found hiding inside a stall of the ladies room of the Sheetz store Manheim Pike, last week. Police say he used his cell phone take pictures of the girl.

Shoemaker later gave consent for officers to search the contents of his phone including all photographs. The phone was sent to the Office of the District Attorney of Lancaster County Investigation Division – Computer Forensic Unit for analysis.

The analysis was completed last Friday, April 15th. It revealed numerous nude photos on the  phone of a female determined to be Shoemaker’s girlfriend, a 16 year old juvenile.  He now faces a felony charge of Possession of Child Pornography.

Shoemaker, who was free awaiting a hearing on the misdemeanor charge, was arrested today in Chester County with the help of the PA State Police Fugitive Recovery Unit and patrol troopers.

Following arraignment he was sent to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail.
