Earth Day Festival draws crowd in Cumberland County

MECHANICSBURG, Pa.-- Earth Day was officially marked on the calendar on April 22nd, but celebrations continued Saturday in Cumberland County.

The 8th Annual Earth Day Festival held in Mechanicsburg. The family-friendly event featured live music, food, fun and vendors selling eco-friendly products. It's held every year in celebration of protecting the environment and our natural resources.

"Earth Day is probably our second biggest activity here in downtown Mechanicsburg. The weather has been cooperating, but the turn out seems good or better than even last year," says event organizer Bob Carey.

Earth Day is a worldwide event that is recognized in more than 193-countries.
