GETTYSBURG, Pa. - World TEAM Sports is a non-profit that aims to connect disabled and able bodied people through sports.
Sunday 750 cyclists rode into Gettysburg where they crossed the finish line for the Face of America ride. Of the 750 rider, 150 are wounded veterans.
"We have post-traumatic stress, we have amputations, we have cancer patients," said Van Brinson of World TEAM Sports.
The two day ride started in Arlington, Virginia and in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. The bikers all then met and finished the last 8 miles of the ride together through the battlefields of Gettysburg.
"When you’re with a group it doesn’t seem as far. The time goes by faster. Everything goes by faster. The top of the hill, you look at it and you immediately go, oh my gosh and then before you know it we are at the top of the hill and we are zooming down to the bottom," said rider Shawn Lamm.
Next year organizers want 900 bikers to ride.
