All lanes of state Route 22/322 have been opened one day ahead of scheduled. The highway was restricted to one lane in both directions this weekend as PennDOT crews continued to prepare for this summer’s work on Route 11/15 in Perry County.

The closure took place near Dauphin Borough as crews installed the second of two “contra-flow” gates in the median to allow traffic to be moved from one side of the highway to the other during a closure of a section of the road due to a crash or other incident.

The highway will be restricted to a single-lane in each direction near Dauphin Borough.

PennDOT said  the work was completed ahead of schedule at 10 p.m. Saturday, and traffic has been restored to two lanes in both directions.
