HARRISBURG, Pa.-- Folks laced up their shoes to take part in the 5th Annual "Running For Rachel 5K" on City Island in Harrisburg on Sunday.
The event is held each year in memory of Rachel Guss, who passed away in 2011 after battling duodenal cancer.
This year, more than 800 people ran or walked in the race.
"It's a great race for the "Rachel Run" in Harrisburg here, a large turnout, enjoy everything about it and all the hundreds of other people and runners and walkers who were involved in today's race, was enormous, it was great to see so many people out here for these charities to help out the family," said Robert Roth, who participated in the race.

The 5K raised money for the National Institutes of Health.
