SUNNY SKIES: We kickoff the workweek with a sunny Monday morning.  Look for temperatures in the mid 40s around sunrise, which comes at 6:15 A.M. these days.  We’ll quickly warm to the upper 70s as the skies turn partly sunny in the afternoon.  As Monday night goes on, more clouds come in the sky.  On Tuesday, we’ll have some sun between the towering, puffy clouds.

SHOWERS COMING: Those puffy clouds will bring showers and storms on Tuesday, particularly in the afternoon.  What sun we do get helps some storms develop.  For the spots in Central PA that get a storm, expect heavy rain and gusty winds from it.  A lot of us will just get showers.  Highs top out near 80 again.

MORE SUN: Let’s take a break from the wet weather on Wednesday.  An area of high pressure brings us a very sunny day as highs fall back to the upper 60s–our average high for this time of the year.

MORE RAIN: Cloudy skies and showers return on Thursday.  In fact, we’ll get a soaker!  We could use one because we’ve got rainfall amounts running a half of an inch below average this month.  Yet, the lawns in Central PA look great!  The clouds and showers hold our highs in the upper 60s on Thursday.  Looks for those clouds and showers to drift away Friday afternoon.  Then, we’ll see breaks of sun Friday evening before the 8:01 P.M. sunset.

NEXT WEEKEND: We’ll have sunny skies all day long on Saturday.  Highs return to the upper 60s.  On Sunday, clouds increase, particularly in the afternoon, as showers approach us.  Our highs will sneak up a few degrees to near 70.  The showers roll in Sunday night and last into Monday.  We’ll keep an eye on the timing of the showers and adjust the forecast as needed over the next few day.  One model–the European–wants to bring the showers in Sunday morning.
