LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa- A Manheim man is charged with punching a pair of police officers, and spitting on one of them, during a domestic disturbance Wednesday night.

Timothy Scott Flowers, 36, is charged with three counts of felony aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and related counts.

Flowers was arraigned Thursday morning and his bail was set at  $150,000, which hasn’t been posted. Flowers is currently in Lancaster County Prison.

Officials say around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, Manheim police were dispatched to a home along the first block of North Grant Street for a reported domestic incident. The caller, a female, reported that Timothy Flowers was “drunk” and “destroying everything.”

Flowers also threatened to assault police if they responded to the home, according to the caller.

When two police officers arrived at the home, Flowers resisted, punching one officer’s face with a closed fist. Flowers, listed on a charging document as 5-foot-8, 220 pounds, continued to swing wildly at both officers, striking them both.

Both officers were treated at a hospital for injuries.

Later, at a hospital, Flowers spit in an officer’s face.

Manheim police Sergeant Aaron Szulborski filed charges of: aggravated assault, resisting arrest, simple assault, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness. Neighbors reported hearing the incident, some of which took place on a porch.

Flowers is presumed innocent.
