YORK COUNTY, Pa. –  Columbia Gas Company has begun a project to improve natural gas delivery to home and businesses in the Wyndham Hills community in Spring  Garden Township.  The company says it will invest approximately $511,000 to replace more than 5,300 feet of natural gas pipelines on Woodland Road.

The infrastructure replacement project involves pipelines along Woodland Road, Woodland Court, Glenwood Drive, Kentwood Lane, Dunster Road, Aqua Court, and Summit Circle. Construction work will take place Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Temporary lane closures are possible during working hours only.

The construction work will require a temporary interruption of natural gas service for individual customers while their service is transferred to the new pipe. Columbia Gas will make personal contact with customers prior to shutting off service and to schedule service restoration. Customers will have their service lines replaced if needed. This work will be done at no additional cost to the customer.

All company and contract employees have photo ID badges identifying them as Columbia Gas employees or contractors. Customers are welcome to ask for ID before allowing anyone into their home or can call 1-888-460-4332 for Columbia Gas employee verification.

From 2007 to 2015, Columbia Gas invested nearly $1.1 billion in the modernization and expansion of its distribution system in Pennsylvania. Of that amount, approximately $845 million was dedicated to replacing 730 miles of priority pipe. In 2016, Columbia Gas will invest approximately $210 million in Pennsylvania, with more than $160 million being invested to upgrade aging underground infrastructure.
