LANCASTER, Pa.– A Lancaster man was arrested after witnesses saw him fire a handgun into the air while standing in front of his residence.

Richard Ramos, 31, was arrested at his apartment building at 434 E. King St. in Lancaster after officers responded to call about a man firing shots into the air.

Witnesses told police that Ramos fired a black semi-automatic handgun three times into the air while standing in front of his home, before retrieving the shell casings and entering his apartment building.

Ramos was found to have a prior felony conviction for robbery, therefore prohibiting him from possessing a gun.

He has been charged with persons not to possess a firearm, carrying a gun without a license, recklessly endangering another person, and discharging a firearm.

Ramos is currently being held in police custody for arraignment.
