Numerous residents have reported an ongoing telephone scam where callers pose as Internal Revenue Service agents.
There have been numerous reports of calls demanding money as payment regarding tax bills. The callers also threaten a lawsuit if payment is not made promptly.
Anyone who receives a suspicious phone call from some claiming to be with the IRS, should contact their local police department.
