Woman charged in multiple Weis Markets armed robberies

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – A Lancaster woman is behind bars charged with robbing the Weis Markets grocery store 1204 Millersville Pike, in Lancaster Township, twice in the same week.

Kathleen E. Moore, 48 is charged with two counts of armed robbery and theft by Manheim Township Police. Police credit tips received after a surveillance photo of robbery suspect was released.

WEIS ROBBERYMoore allegedly robbed the Weis Markets store at the Manor Shopping Center on Sunday, May 1, and then again two days later on Tuesday, May 3.  Each time the suspect approached a check out clerk, revealed a handgun concealed beneath her shirt and demanded money.  There were no injuries in either robbery.

Following arraignment, Moore was sent to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $500,000 bail.
