SPRINGETTSBURY TWP., Pa.-- A woman was assaulted by an unknown male while jogging through Rocky Ridge Park.

Police responded to a call that an 18 year old female victim reported she was attacked by an assailant just before 8 p.m.

"He dragged her to the ground and she was able to fend him off by kickingĀ  and putting up a struggle. She was able to get to her feet and then, run off into the woods where she hid until she thought he was gone," said Sergeant Brian Wilbur from Springettsbury Township Police.

The victim described the male as white and about 40 years of age with grayish blonde hair and wearing a green, zip-up, hooded sweatshirt. He was wearing cargo style shorts with white and blue shoes.

Springettsbury Township Police are asking anyone that might have been in the park last evening and saw someone matching that description to contact them at 717-757-3525.
