Consumers aren’t happy about waiting in long lines for the TSA, but a new survey by J.D. Power shows that air travel satisfaction has hit a ten year high.

Researchers say airline costs and fees improved in 2015 because of lower fares, and more acceptance of paying higher fees for baggage and extra legroom.

The study measured passenger satisfaction with North American airline carriers based on performance in seven factors (in order of importance): cost & fees; in-flight services; boarding/deplaning/baggage; flight crew; aircraft; check-in; and reservation.

Alaska Airlines was top rated for the 9th year in a row, and JetBlue was the top rated low cost carrier for the 11th year.

J.D. Power surveyed more than 10,000 people who flew on Major North American Airlines between April 2015 and March 2016.
