One dead in two vehicle crash in Lebanon County

LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. – One man is dead in a crash involving a car and a pickup in Lebanon County.  It happened at about 12:44 p.m. on Route 501 at the intersection of Old Mill Road in Heidelberg Township.

Pennsylvania State Police say the driver of a 2001 Volvo C9 S80 traveling west on Old Mill Road ran through a stop sign directly into the path of a 1999 Dodge 2500 pickup. The truck struck the right passenger side of the car pushing both vehicles across the roadway into the guide rails.

The driver of the Volvo was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
