CAMP HILL, Pa. - Local teens put their safe driving knowledge to the test-- taking part in a statewide driving competition in Cumberland County.

High school students from across the state gathered for the competition at the Radisson Hotel in Camp Hill.

It's hosted by PennDOT and several other safety organizations in the state.

The competition tests each student's safety knowledge and safe driving skills to find a winner.

It's broken down into written, visual, and driving skills testing.

"It's great," State Police Trooper Adam Reed said, "especially at this age. Relatively new drivers they get out here and experience something like this . It's important to develop  good driving habits young so that they can get their driver's license. It's a good thing to have."

Winners of the competition received scholarships in the amounts of $2,000. $3,000, and $5,000.
