SHOWERS THEN SUN: A cold front crosses through early Friday, and this brings showers to the region. From the hours of 9 A.M to 2 P.M., expect a line of showers to track west to east. A rumble of thunder is not out of the question in our eastern spots. Sunshine quickly moves in once the shower end, leading to some afternoon warming. It’s breezy, with temperatures in the lower to middle 70s. Skies are mostly clear through the evening and the overnight. Lows fall into the upper 40s to middle 50s.
WEEKEND COOLING: Saturday another cold front quickly moves through the region. It quickly brings clouds and even some afternoon showers. An isolated thunderstorm is possible, mainly east during the afternoon. Strong wind gusts and some small hail is possible, but the severe weather threat is very low. Breezy conditions continue. Highs are in the 60s. Sunday brings some breaks of sunshine and even cooler temperatures. Expect readings in the middle to upper 50s. It’s still a breezy day. A few isolated showers could pop up throughout the region.
NEXT WEEK: Monday is a bit milder, but still below seasonable averages for this time of year. Expect highs in the lower to middle 60s. Tuesday is a touch milder, with numbers still in the 60s. There’s also the chance for some afternoon showers. Wednesday brings a chance for showers and perhaps a thunderstorm. Afternoon high temperatures are near 70 degrees. Sunshine returns Thursday.
