Monday is breezy but not as cool.

Despite cooler than average temperatures, plenty of sunshine keeps Monday's UV Index high.

COOL START TO WEEK: After a chilly start throughout the region, it’s a bit milder than yesterday. Thanks to high pressure, plenty of sunshine quickly warms temperatures through the 40s and 50s during the morning. Afternoon high temperatures are in the 60s, but strong breezes continue to add a chill. Clouds increase through the night ahead of our next system. It’s not as chilly, with lows in the 40s. Tuesday our next Windssystem brings a few showers, mainly during the afternoon. It’s still on the cool side, with afternoon temperatures in the lower to middle 60s. Wednesday begins with some morning showers, especially closest to the border. Some sun likely breaks out during the afternoon, especially for the northern half of the region. Temperatures are in the lower to middle 60s.

TURNING WARMER: The sunshine is back for the end of the week, and temperatures are closer to seasonal averages. Highs are near 70 degrees on Thursday before creeping into the lower 70s on Friday.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK: We’ll be watching a system that could bring showers into the weekend forecast. The brunt of the shower activity is currently concentrated around Saturday, with a few stray showers possible Sunday. This could change as we fine tune the forecast, so check back for updates. Highs should be near or above averages depending on the showers.

Have a great Monday!
