Flag man struck by hit and run driver

YORK COUNTY, Pa. – Police are on the lookout for the driver of a car that hit a construction worker flagmen early Tuesday afternoon.

York Area Regional Police responded to the scene at about 1:05 p.m. to the 2900 block of Cape Horn Road in Windsor Township for a report of a pedestrian struck.

Witnesses say a small maroon four door vehicle traveling northbound veered off the construction coned traffic lane and struck the flagman knocking him to the ground.  He was taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The flagman recalled hitting the passenger side mirror of the car which was left hanging as the driver fled the scene.

Anyone with any information concerning the incident is asked to call 911.
