Lebanon man drowns in Schuylkill County reservoir

PINE GROVE, Pa. – Divers recover the body of a Lebanon man who apparently drowned in a Schuylkill County reservoir.

The body of 22 year old Adam Joseph Kearney, was recovered at about 5:35 p.m. Thursday from the High Bridge Dam of the Lebanon County Reservoir in  Pine Grove Township.

State Police say Kearney and two others trespassed on Lebanon Reservoir lands at about 6  p.m on Wednesday. Kearney is alleged to have entered the water in an attempt to swim across to the other side but did not make it.

Dive teams from Schuylkill Haven Fire Department, West End Mahanoy Fire Department and Ryan Township Fire Department assisted in the recovery of Kearney’s body.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
