Penbrook man charged with 50 counts of child pornography
DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa.- Jeffrey L. Ober faces multiple counts of possession of child pornography following a raid Thursday morning on his Penbrook home.
Detectives from the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Criminal Investigation Division executed the search warrant. The search warrant was based on a “cyber tip” detectives received from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force. The initial ‘cyber tip’ concerned 6 images of child pornography.
Dauphin County Detective Peter Fure’s investigation determined that the images were down loaded by a computer or other electronic devices within Ober’s home.
The Penbrook Police Department and agents from the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office assisted detectives from the District Attorney’s Criminal Investigation Division with executing the search warrant.
During the search multiple images of child pornography were found on the phone and other electronic devices belonging to Ober. Ober is being held pending preliminary arraignment on 50 counts of Sexual Abuse of Children.
The investigation continues and a further forensic examination of the computers and electronic devices seized during the search will be conducted to determine if the devices contain any other images of child pornography
