Teen escapes when pickup plunges into creek

YORK COUNTY, Pa. – An 11th grade student at Northeastern High School escaped injury after his pickup truck plunges into a creek.  It happened just before 3 o’clock this afternoon on Conewago Creek Road, near North George Street extended in East Manchester Township.

Northeast Regional Police say the teenager was on his way home from school when he lost control of the Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck.  He was out of the truck by the time emergency crews arrived on the scene.

The truck was completely submerged in the middle of Conewago Creek.  The Fish and Game Commission was contacted to assist with removing the truck from the water.
