Emergency crews responded to a fire that engulfed the old Ruby’s Diner building in Southern California on the Seal Beach Pier Friday morning.

The fire was reported about 7:45 a.m., said Capt. Larry Kurtz of the Orange County Fire Authority.

The intense streams of water coming from the Long Beach Pier fire boat was so strong it stripped roofing off the burning building, video showed.

The roof appeared to have collapsed once the flames were largely extinguished.

The burning building was once a Ruby’s Diner, which closed in 2013. KTLA5 have details.
