HARRISBURG, Pa. – Kids in Dauphin County got up close and personal with machines of all shapes and sizes. The Jewish Community Center in Harrisburg hosted its annual Touch-A-Truck event. It gives children the chance to get behind the wheel of their favorite vehicles.

Those featured at the event included military vehicles, farming equipment, and a fire truck.

“It’s a community event that we really encourage everyone to come out to,” JCC sports director Terri Travers said. “We have trucks from a variety of different organizations here and really a chance for kids to get up close and personal and really see the trucks, get onto some of them, honk their horns and everything ”

Drivers and operators of the vehicles were also on hand to answer questions.
