HARRISBURG, Pa. - The wet weekend weather didn't keep local heroes from enjoying a day at the ball park. W&L Sales Company and the Harrisburg Senators teamed up to host a free picnic for veterans and their families at FNB Field.
It's all to honor the military men and women for their service.
"I think the veterans love this event," veteran and W&L Sales representative Jennifer Horn said. "It's been increasing every year we do it. It's a great time to recognize our veterans and give them a chance to enjoy good ol' American baseball and have a picnic with their family and friends, and It's a moment for us to say thank you for their service."
This is the 5th year for the veterans celebration.
