LITITZ, Pa. — Police say a man who gave swim lessons at the Lititz Rec Center pocketed the money he received for lessons rather than turning it over to the rec center. David Kauffman, 43, of Ephrata, is charged with theft by deception for allegedly providing swimming lessons for several students and accepting the payments directly for his services, rather than turning that money over to his employer.
