Derry Township School District is revising its policy on how students and teachers communicate.

According to the district, the administration recommends the approval of a 30-day review of Policy 824, “Maintaining professional adult and student boundaries.” Under this policy, the district is scaling back teachers’, and district staff, professional use of social media, like Facebook and Twitter, and other networking websites to communicate.

Where do you stand on this development? Are you in favor of banning student-teacher electronic and social media interactions?
