Two men facing charges after stealing, damaging street sign

MILLERSVILLE, Pa.– Two men are facing charges after stealing a street sign.

Matthew Giuffreda, 20, and Joseph Ames, 20, are charged with theft, criminal mischief and criminal conspiracy after taking and damaging a Manor Township street sign, which is valued at $100.

A Millersville University police officer was on patrol when he saw Ames carrying the damaged “Carledge Lane” sign. He was taken into custody while another man fled, who was later identified as Giuffreda, who was the one who had originally taken the sign.
