CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. – Two Virginia men are behind bars on drug and illegal firearm charges. Their arrests follows a traffic stop on Tuesday by Lower Allen Township Police.

The vehicle, occupied by Deshaun Jamal White, 23, and Jarrod Kenneth Daniel, 20, both from Woodbridge, Virginia, was stopped for speeding and equipment violations while traveling on Route 15 North in the area of Rossmoyne Road.

The officer that stopped the vehicle detected an odor of fresh marijuana coming from inside the passenger compartment. K9 Rocco, a certified narcotics detection dog, was deployed and he alerted on the vehicle as well. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed several ounces of marijuana packaged for sale, as well as other distribution paraphernalia items, and a loaded .25 auto handgun.

Both White and Daniel were arrested. Following arraignment they were sent to  Cumberland County Prison on $10,000 bail a piece.
