MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND OUTLOOK:

The unofficial start of summer begins this weekend.  However, it feels like summer has arrived early, as summer-like weather continues through the holiday weekend.  We’ll be pushing 90-degree weather, coming close to record highs in the lower 90s both Saturday and Sunday.   A daily threat for isolated thunderstorms continues but there is no reason to change plans, just be sure to keep an eye to the sky.  Anything that develops won’t last too long. Be sure to use sunscreen if planning on being outdoors to keep from burning.  More clouds arrive for Memorial Day.  While it won’t be a washout, an increased threat for showers and thunderstorms may bring you inside for a bit.  Expect high temperatures to fall back into the lower to middle 80s.

NEXT WEEK:

Beyond the holiday into next week, temperatures remain above average in the 80s. There isn’t much relief from the humidity either.  Each day sees plenty of sunshine with more clouds on Thursday.  As of now, the shower threat holds off until late Thursday into early Friday when the next frontal system brings a round of showers and thunderstorms.
