HARRISBURG, Pa. – Chuck Ardo, Press Secretary for embattled Attorney General Kathleen Kane is calling it quits. Ardo tells FOX43 News that he intents to formally hand in his resignation on Tuesday, May 31.

Ardo, who took the spokesman job on April 22, 2015, says he was under contract through December, but decided he could no longer do his job in good conscious.  He said with the current issues faced by Kane it was increasingly harder to explain the inexplicable.  Some of those questions involve Kane’s office policies, her one time personal driver , and the creation of a job of Solicitor General that may not be legal.  He says he has reached a point where he just can’t do it anymore.

As for his future, Ardo says he has no immediate plans, but that he may eventually rejoin a consulting firm where he worked before moving to Pennsylvania.

Ardo is Attorney General Kathleen Kane’s 7th press secretary since she was elected to office nearly four years ago.
