MOUNT JOY TWP, Pa- Police investigate an early Sunday morning robbery in Elizabethtown.

Northwest Regional police were dispatched to an alarm at the Trop Gun Shop on the 900 block of North Hanover Street around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police say the alarm was activated when burglars smashed the glass of the store’s front door to gain entry.

When officers searched the store, they found several glass handgun display cases smashed and a number of handguns had been stolen.

Officials say the burglars fled the store before officers arrived.

Northwest Regional and Elizabethtown police along with the Lancaster City police K-9 unit, searched the area, but no one was found.

Surveillance video showed two burglars entering the store and stealing handguns from the display cases.

Police are asking anyone in the area who may have information on the burglary or may have noticed any suspicious vehicles in the area to contact Northwest Regional police.
