A three-hour lockdown at the White House is over. Law enforcement has reported that the area has been searched and cleared.

It was reported that a woman was seen throwing a package over the fence at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. It was witnessed at 12:19 p.m., when both local police and fire units joined the investigation. Hazmat units were on scene, too.

President Barack Obama was at the White House, during the lockdown. He had just returned from Arlington National Cemetery’s annual Memorial Day observance.
