YORK, Pa.-- A water rescue and search is underway this morning after a domestic dispute ended in a man fleeing into the Conewago Creek.

Officers responded to calls for a domestic dispute in the 5400 block of N. George St. , but the man had fled in his vehicle. He was stopped by officers a short while later, and was non-cooperative with police before parking his car and fleeing on foot.

Shortly after officers began searching for the suspect, they heard yells for help in the area of Conewago Creek.

River Rescue came to the scene and used thermal imaging and a K-9 team to search for the man with no luck. The river search was suspended this morning.

Police don't believe this man is a threat to the public, and are hoping to get a hit on his cell phone.

The victim of the dispute suffered injuries to the head but they are not life threatening.
