LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – A Conestoga man will serve up to 20 years in prison for a series of sexual assaults of a girl, beginning in 2003 when she was 5 years old.

David A. Morrison, 58, will serve 6 to 20 years in prison after pleading no contest to some charges, including Rape of a Child, and guilty to other charges.

Lancaster County Judge Howard Knisely recently accepted the terms of a plea agreement and ordered sentence.

Assistant District Attorney Karen Mansfield called the victim a survivor, who is now 18 and attending college.

The abuse happened between 2003 and 2008 at homes in Manor Township and on River Road, Conestoga, where Morrison most previously lived.

In some instances, Morrison told the girl they were “playing doctor.”

In 2014, the victim confronted Morrison about the abuse and reported to social services and police.

As part of sentence, Judge Knisely ordered that Morrison register his whereabouts to police, under Megan’s Law, for the rest of his life.
