CONESTOGA TWP., Pa.– A Manheim man has been charged with burglary and theft following stealing money from his employer’s home.
Michael Johns, 31, is still facing a preliminary hearing for his crimes.
Johns had knowledge of his employer’s schedule and knew the location of a hidden key on the property, allowing him to access the home. However, Johns was unaware that his work truck had a GPS tracking device installed, and a business partner of his employer noticed that Johns was at the victim’s home when the victim wasn’t present.
Upon returning home, the victim found approximately $600 missing.
Johns admitted to the crime, and was arraigned before being released on $50,000 unsecured bail.
