GETTYSBURG, Pa.– Brass players are gathering in the Gettysburg area this weekend, to give everyone a taste of what playing a brass instrument is like.

This year, the festival will host the US Army Herald Trumpets, the Atlantic Brass Band(a North American Brass Band Association Champion) from New Jersey, the Chesapeake Brass Band(NABBA Champion) from Delaware, Spires(NABBA Champion), Rockville and Benfield Brass Bands from Maryland and the Penn View Brass Band from near Philadelphia.

The Festival has a new home this year, as the main stage and Community Brass Picnic will be held at the Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary. There will also be a Brass Band Petting Zoo, where children and adults will have the opportunity to try different brass instruments.

For more information, you can check out the festival’s website here.
