WEEK ENDS SEASONABLE: High pressure remains in control of the region, and it helps bring a pleasant end to the work week. After a cool start on Friday, the slow warming continues. Plenty of sunshine warms our afternoon high temperatures into the middle to upper 70s. This is seasonable for this time of year. Winds are even lighter than yesterday, with a gentle breeze at times during the afternoon. The evening is quiet and wonderful for all Friday night plans. The overnight periods sees some added clouds. Overnight low temperatures fall into the middle 50s to lower 60s.
WEEKEND STARTS STORMY: We’re watching thunderstorm chances for the weekend. Saturday is the day under the microscope, making it a 50/50 weekend. We’re still monitoring severe weather chances for Saturday from about mid to late afternoon. Be sure to keep that in mind for any outdoor plans. Frequent lightning, heavy downpours, damaging winds are possible with any stronger to severe storms that form. It’s a bit warmer, and the humidity ticks up as well. Highs are in the lower to middle 80s. Highs remain near 80 degrees Sunday, and skies dry out. It turns breezy too through the weekend.
NEXT WEEK: Monday another cool pool of air slips into the region. Expect partly sunny skies, with highs back into the 70s for the entire region. Some warming takes place Tuesday, with plenty of sunshine. Our next chance for showers and thunderstorms is likely on Wednesday and Thursday. Highs are in the lower to middle 80s.
